Please be aware that School District #51 is monitoring the local flood potential.  We are in contact with the local governments and the Regional District Kootenay Boundary regarding water levels that may impact bus routes and/or schools.  If any bus routes or schools will be impacted by potential flooding we will be in contact with students and parents through our District and School Web sites and Facebook pages.  We will also use local radio for any required announcements.

If your child will be five years of age on or before December 31, 2017, he or she is
eligible to begin kindergarten in September 2017.  Drop by the schools to register
and remember to bring your child's birth certificate and Care Card.

PAC FUNDRAISING - Did you know, you can support the fundraising efforts of your PAC, just by buying groceries at Overwaitea? There is no extra out-of-pocket cost to you! Simply buy an Overwaitea gift card (mention that it is to support Greenwood/Midway Elementary PAC), then use your gift card to pay for your groceries! 5% of all gift card sales goes directly back to the students (field trips, special guests, and more). What a great way to help our school raise money!

FUNDRAISING - GRADES 6/7 FIELD TRIP - THANK YOU to everyone for your continued and ongoing support of our fundraising efforts. We have started dreaming/planning for the 2018 field trip.

NewspaperMOVED? NEW PHONE NUMBER? ALLERGIES OR MEDICAL CONDITIONS? We must have up-to-date information in order to contact parents in an emergency. Please call or email the school office if you have changed addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc. If you prefer, you may also print off our change form, fill it out, and return to the school.

Please also let us know if there has been a change to your child's health or home situation that the school needs to be aware of.

Click here for the registration form, and drop by Greenwood Elementary School to register. Please remember to bring your child's Birth Certificate and Care Card.

Please check your child’s hair for head lice on a weekly basis and, if necessary, on a daily basis. Public Health has provided us with an excellent "tip sheet" for "How to Deal with Head Lice."

StrongStart is open to all children who are 5 and under (until they begin Kindergarten). The children enjoy playing with other children, story time, music, singing and healthy snacks. They have access to books, puzzles and art materials. A parent or caregiver must accompany the child. Please bring your child's birth certificate and care card to register. For more information please contact Glanville Family Center at 250-442-2267 or 1-877-442-5355.
