PIZZA DAY - We will be having Pizza Day on Thursday, March 13th. Order forms have gone home and must beback into the office ASAP.
PAC FUNDRAISER - If you shop at Overwaitea, Buy Low or Value Drug Mart buy a gift card to purchase your items and our Perley PAC receives a percentage of the gift card. Just say the gift card purchase is for the Perley PAC. We have received over $1,000.00 from these gift card purchases - what a great way to help Perley School raise money!! Phone the school if you have any questions on how to get involved with this fundraiser.
REPORT CARDS - Second term report cards have been sent home the week of March 3rd. If you have not received your child's report card, please call the office.

SPRING BREAK - All schools in the District will be closed, for Spring Break, starting Friday, March 14th and will
re-open on Monday, March 31st.
PAC MEETINGS - The next PAC meeting will be held on April 15th. All parents are welcome to attend these meetings.
GRADE 7 FUNDRAISING - As a fundraiser for their year-end field trip to Victoria, B.C. the Grade 7 students are selling Purdy's Chocolates. If you are interested in placing an order please stop by the office to pick up a brochure and order form.
BABYSITTING - Red Cross Certified - Get certified so you can babysit! Open to ages 11-14 years. March 14, 2014, 9:00-4:00 pm and June 14/15, 8:30-12:30 pm. The cost is $65.00, please phone Selkirk College to register.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION - If your child will be five years of age on or before December 31, 2014, come into the office to register for Kindergarten. Please bring with you your child's birth certificate and care card.
STUDENT ABSENCES - We ask parents to please call the school when students are going to be absent at 250-442-2135. If calling before office hours please leave a message. Thank you for your assistance.
UP-TO-DATE CONTACT INFORMATION - Please make sure that the school has your proper contact information. If you have moved, changed your phone number or your family circumstances have changed, please let the school know, as this is important information to have on file in case of an emergency.
VOLUNTEERS - Thank you for volunteering in your child's classroom, or around the school. However, in keeping with district policy and in order to keep our students safe, we must ask those who are assisting in the school with our students to obtain a Criminal Record Check. You may pick up a form at the office, or go directly on line at:
COLOURED SCHOOL BUSES - The District school buses will now display specific colours for each route. The colour bars will be displayed immediately to the rear of the entrance door and under the first passenger window. The colours are as follows:
GREEN - Route 1 (Eholt, Carson, Reservoir) - Rick Kost
WHITE - Route 3 (North Fork, Brown Creek, Granby) - Pete Kootnekoff
BROWN - Route 4 (Almond Gardens) - Debbie Dierckens

HEAD LICE - Please check your child's hair on a weekly basis, and if necessary on a daily basis, for head lice. Click here to get to Interior Health's website for information on how to check and treat head lice. There are also some great videos on youtube on head lice.
.PERLEY STRONGSTART at the Glanville Family Centre - StrongStart is a free program and available to children not yet eligible for Kindergarten. A parent or care provider must be in attendance. AIR QUALITY ALERT - If our school receives an Air Quality Alert, parents can request that their children remain indoors on those days. The school will declare these days "in-door choice days" for students. Contact your child's classroom teacher if you have any particular requests for your child on these days.
SCHOOL GROWTH PLAN - To develop all students' ability to take responsibility for their learning and be inspired to strive for their personal best in all aspects of their lives.
BUS PERMISSION SLIPS - A reminder to parents that if their child will be riding a different bus or getting off at a different stop, other than their assigned stop, the Office must receive a note from a parent or guardian with full details. The Office Administration will complete a "Bus Permission" slip for the student to give to the bus driver for that particular day.
