West Boundary Elementary is a K-7 school nestled in the mountains along
the Kettle River in beautiful Rock Creek, B.C. There are currently 110
students, an administrator, 8 teachers and 2 support staff. Literacy has
been a huge focus at West Boundary and our students benefit from our 'Wild 45' Literacy block as well as a number of other school-wide reading
initiatives. As a result our students are proving that they truly are,
Wild About Reading! We have an active Parent Advisory that offers support for learning opportunities, provides hot lunches, and holds special events throughout the year. Parents in the area value education and are strong supporters of the school. We strive to meet our mission statement through our commitment to provide a learning environment that promotes responsible citizenship and personal growth within a safe, caring environment. West Boundary is all about celebrating success and as a part of that, we hold 3 Recognition Assemblies throughout the year to recognize and celebrate student growth in social responsibility and academic achievement. All stakeholders have a shared vision of creating a positive school climate and our dedicated staff, supportive and involved parents, active Parent Advisory and our eager and talented students make West Boundary Elementary a very special school.
