BUS SCHEDULES WILL NOT BE POSTED IN NEWSPAPERS END OF AUGUST. SCHEDULES WILL BE POSTED ON THE DISTRICT WEBSITE www.sd51.bc.ca the last week of August, and be maintained throughout the year.
If you have any questions, please contact the School Board Office at
250-442-8258. All bus students will be required to complete a
“Mandatory Bus Registration and Rules” form and return it to their bus
driver by Sept 13/18. These forms will be given out to the students,
the first week of school, in their homerooms.

Please call or email the school office if you have changed addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc. Also, please let us know if there has been a change to your child's health or home situation that the school needs to be aware of.

BC TRAINING & EDUCATION GRANT - Families in British Columbia are encouraged to start planning and saving early for their children’s post-secondary education or training programs. To help, the B.C. Government will contribute $1,200 to eligible children through the B.C. Training and Education Savings Grant (BCTESG). Click here for more information.
School District No. 51 Board of Education Meeting Dates:

FREE CRIMINAL RECORDS SEARCHES AVAILABLE - Criminal record searches are required for those who are helping with children in the school. Parents and volunteers are now able to enter and submit criminal record searches online free of charge. Please contact Mrs. Bartlett for more information.

BUS INFORMATION - Please send a note with your child if he/she will be getting off at a different stop, taking a different bus, or taking the bus if he/she is not a regular bus student. Your child must bring the note to the school office so that a Bus Permission Form may be completed by office staff for the bus driver.
BUS COLOURS - Our district school buses display specific colours for each route. The colour bars are displayed immediately to the rear of the entrance door and under the first passenger window. The colours are as follows:
RED - Route 5 (East Christina Lake, Grand Forks) - spare driver
PURPLE - Route 6 (Christina Lake, Ponderosa, Valley Hts) - Debbie Dierckens
BUY LOW TILL TAPES / CANADIAN TIRE MONEY - CLES has collection boxes at the school office for Buy Low till tapes and Canadian Tire money. The funds from these are used for student snacks/lunches and outdoor play equipment.
NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION - Please bring a completed registration form (click here) your child's birth certificate, BC care card to the CLES office along with a copy of your BC Driver's Licence, care card and utility bill.
VOLUNTEERS - We are very fortunate at CLES to have so many supportive families. In keeping with district policy and in order to keep our children as safe as possible, we must receive criminal record checks and signed volunteer policy forms from those who are assisting in the school with our students. We realize this may be an inconvenience to some and we appreciate your understanding in this matter. Free, online criminal record searches are available for our school volunteers. Please contact the school office if you would like to receive instructions how to complete the online search.
