CHRISTMAS CONCERT - Concert dates:
Dress Rehearsal Monday, Dec. 17 @ 1:00 pm. No ticket required for attending this one
Tuesday, Dec 18. Tickets required to attend the 1:00 and 6:00 shows. Kindergarten parents, don't forget to reserve your front row seats!
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR 2019/2020
If your child will be five years of age on or before December 31, 2019, he or she is
eligible to begin kindergarten in September 2019. Drop by the schools to register
and remember to bring your child's birth certificate and Care Card. .
- All visitors* must sign in at the office during school hours
- Exterior doors will be locked during school time. If you need in the building please use the office entrance to the school.
- For pick-up of students (ill, dentist…) or drop-off of items (lunch, sneakers…) during school time, please come to the office.
*Visitors refers to persons…
who are not staff members OR
who are not on the pick-up/drop off list for students
In order to keep our student files current, please let the office know if there are any changes to the pick-up/drop off list.
As well, due to staff on call and new staff in the school, not everyone may know you, so do not be surprised or offended if a school staff member approaches you to ask if you have checked in at the office.

OVERWAITEA FUNDRAISER - Continue buying Overwaitea gift cards to purchase your groceries and our PAC receives a percentage of the gift card value. Remember to say the gift card purchase is for the Hutton Elementary PAC
NUT AWARE -We have students with life-threatening nut and peanut allergies in the school. As such, we ask parents to please send nut-free lunches/snacks for their children. Thank you for helping keep our students safe.
STUDENT ABSENCES - Please call the school (250-442-8275) when students are going to be absent.
MOVED? NEW CONTACT INFORMATION? - Please make sure that the school has your proper contact information. If you have moved, changed your phone number or your family circumstances have changed, please let the school know, as this is important information to have on file in case of an emergency.
SCHOOL BUS COLOURS -The District school buses display specific colours for each route. The colour bars will be displayed immediately to the rear of the entrance door and under the first passenger window. The colours are as follows:
GREEN - Route 1 (Eholt, Carson, Reservoir) - Rick Kost

HUTTON STRONG START CENTRE -Our StrongStart Centre is open 4 days a week.
Monday - 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Tuesday - 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday - 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Friday - 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
StrongStart is open to all children who are 5 and under (until they begin Kindergarten). The children enjoy playing with other children, playing in our gym, and using the library to find a special book. A parent or caregiver must accompany the child. Watch for new programs and feel free to phone 250-442-8275 for more information or drop by and speak to our coordinator, Brenda Plotnikoff.
CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS -
When accessing the online site https://justice.gov.bc.ca/eCRC/ for Criminal Record Checks, you will be asked for a code. This code is specific to our school ONLY.
When complete, the results will be emailed to the school directly. There have been circumstances where the applicant has been asked to print the application and bring it into the school to be faxed in. This DOES NOT mean there is a problem with your application, it is just a glitch in their system.Thank you for taking the time to fill this out and thank you for volunteering at our school!
VOLUNTEER DRIVER REQUIRMENTS & DRIVER'S ABSTRACT - a minimum of $3,000,000 liability is required before the School District's policy will come into effect if there is an accident while driving children. All drivers are asked to obtain a new driver's abstract in September or before the first field trip.To obtain a drivers' abstract please call 1-800-464-5050. Have your driver's license # ready. When the phone picks up, wait through the options then press "0" . A representative will answer and you tell them you need a driver's abstract.
