INFORMATION ON SCHOOL MANAGED DEVICES

Information about the use of school-managed devices and accounts including applications and websites used, screen-time, device health, on-campus network/internet performance and network-security signals is collected by School District No. 51 (Boundary) under the authority of section 26(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the School Act, for the purposes of managing district technology, ensuring device and network reliability, evaluating educational software use and cost and maintaining data-privacy compliance. This information is limited to district-owned devices used on district premises and is processed and stored by our service provider, Lightspeed Systems. This deployment does not include web-content filtering or student safety monitoring and does not collect device location.
